Calculate the cable sectional area
- S=d*d*0.785*n
- S=r*r*3.14*n (n=number of wires)
e.g. A 25mm2 cable consists of 5 pieces of wire, each wire single diameter=2.4mm
Actual sectional area=2.4*2.4*0.785*5=22.6mm2
Calculate the weight
W=S*L*Density*n (n=number of wires)
Copper density=8.9 g/cm3 , Aluminum density=2.7 g/cm3
